Located on Calle Kandinsky, on the corner of Avenida Gregorio Prieto, just steps away from the City of Justice in Málaga, El Rengue opened its doors with a strong foundation: its name means “a break from work” in Andalusian tradition and the owners already had extensive experience in hospitality in Ciudad Jardín.

At El Rengue we specialise in fresh Mediterranean cuisine. Our menu features cold and hot starters, salads, seafood, fish, grilled meats and homemade desserts. Some of our most sought-after dishes include Cantabrian anchovies, Iberian secret montaditos with quail egg, smashed eggs with truffle potato and acorn-fed ham, creamy rice with Parmesan, centollo crab salad with fresh cheese, grilled octopus with potato parmentier, and Málaga suckling goat. All complemented by an excellent wine selection.
An achievement in every sense. The waiters are very professional and polite. A huge wine selection to enjoy a great meal. The dishes are very well executed and tasty. They are masters of meats and it shows that they put love into it. 100% recommended.
A place we love for its quality, great raw materials and even better cooking. The Russian salad more than decent, the quisquilla tartar excellent and the tomatoes very good. For meat, the Finnish beef, the beef cheek with artichokes and the presa with potatoes were fantastic. For dessert a classic cheesecake, very tasty. The price is fair for the quality and the service is always very good. I always recommend it.
